The short version
Kosher Circular is a directory of kosher supermarkets and their weekly circulars. You can browse all of it without an account, and we do not sell anything about you to anyone.
What we collect
Google Analytics. We use Google Analytics 4 to count visits and see which pages get used. It records the page you viewed, roughly where you are (city level, from your IP address), your device and browser, and how you arrived. It sets cookies to tell a returning visitor from a new one. Google processes this data on our behalf, and their handling is covered by the Google Privacy Policy.
Store listing counters. When you open a supermarket's profile we count the view, and taps on its phone number, website, directions, circular and photos. This is how a listed store finds out what its listing did for it. These counters set no cookies, store no IP addresses and do not fingerprint your device; they use a random id that lives in your tab and disappears when you close it.
Anything you send us. If you submit a business or email us, we keep what you sent so we can reply and act on it.
What we do not do
We do not sell or share your personal information, and we run no advertising or remarketing tags. Our fonts are served from our own servers rather than Google's, so simply loading a page does not hand your address to a third party.
Cookies, and your choice
The only cookies here are Google Analytics'. Nothing else on the site needs one to work.
If you are in the UK, the EU or the EEA, we ask before setting them, and nothing is stored unless you accept. If you decline, Google receives an anonymous, cookie-free signal that a page was viewed, and cannot connect it to you or to any other visit.
To change your mind later, clear this site's data in your browser and you will be asked again on your next visit. You can also opt out of Google Analytics on every site with Google's browser add-on.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to ask what we hold about you, to have it corrected or deleted, and to object to how it is used. UK and EU visitors have these rights under the UK GDPR and GDPR; California residents have comparable rights under the CCPA, including the right not to be discriminated against for exercising them. Email us and we will act on it — we will not ask you why.
Children
The site is meant for a general audience and is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect anything from them.
Changes
If this policy changes we will update the date at the top of the page. There is no version history yet; when there is, it will live here.
